A POWER GENERATION SYSTEM

A steam turbine that includes a rotor provided with a mono-block rotor shaft. Multi-stage blades are fixed to the rotor shaft from a high pressure side. The steam inlet temperature of the first stage blades is not less than 530.degree.C to a low pressure side. Final stage blades are provided at the low pressure side having a length not less than 40 inches for a shaft rotated at 3000 rpm or a length not less than 33.5 inches for a shaft rotating at 3600 rpm. The final stage blades are illustratively made from a Ti-based alloy.
