NEW MATERIAL:Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki E062-8(FERM P-10416), a variant of Bacillus thuringiensis deficient in crystal toxin endogenous spore. USE:A bacterium producing a crystal toxin useful as an active ingredient of insecticide. PREPARATION:Bacillus thuringiensis is treated with a varying agent such as ethylmethanesulfonic acid and the prepared variant is screened.
