PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately suppress density unevenness in printing results while simplifying test patterns to be printed.SOLUTION: A print control unit causes ink to be discharged from nozzle onto a printing medium transported in a second direction intersecting with a first directions at the time of forward path/return path movement of a print head in the first direction and causes processing printing one raster line by a plurality of nozzles to be realized. The print control unit causes a region where a predetermined number of raster lines printed by the common forward path movement and the return path movement thereof disposed side-by-side in the second direction to be a unit region, causes test patterns to be printed across a plurality of unit regions at a position of one end side in the first direction of the printing medium, acquires a correction value for each unit region on the basis of colorimetry results of the test patterns, applies the correction value for each unit region to data corresponding to the position of one end side in accordance with an alignment sequence of the unit region in the second direction when correcting image data of an input image and applies the correction value for each unit region to data corresponding to a position of the other end side in the first direction in accordance with a sequence where the alignment sequence of the unit regions in the second direction is replaced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
