In the case of a method and a device for producing sleeveless connections of multicore cables, especially in mining, from equal-length ends of a cable which has a plurality of cores carrying power in a sheath, which cores are surrounded by insulation and a protective-earth conductor is wound around them on the insulation, and of crimping sleeves which are arranged side by side on the ends of the core ends (which are exposed by removal of the cable sheath, unwinding the protective-earth conductors and removal of the insulation) in order to connect them, are connected to crimping sleeves, are individually insulated and are subsequently individually enclosed in electrically conductive flexible tubes, after which the cable sheath is made again, it is provided according to the invention that the electrically conductive flexible tube encloses are carried out by winding a wire mesh strip or woven wire strip around the core ends which are provided with the insulated crimping sleeves and the flexible tube winding is surrounded by a polyester film on which the cable sheath is produced again with the sheath of the cable corresponding to the external dimensions, by means of a moulding which is cast around the cores.
