PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aramid core wire having both fray resistance on a transmission belt side face and flexural fatigue resistance of a transmission belt and a manufacturing method thereof; and a transmission belt using the aramid core wire and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: An aramid core wire 1 used for a transmission belt is obtained by a method comprising a step of coating or impregnating a raw yarn of the aramid core wire 1 with a first treatment agent containing an urethane prepolymer and an organic solvent and not containing a polymethylene polyphenyl polyisocyanate; and a step of coating or impregnating the raw yarn of the aramid core wire 1 coated or impregnated with the first treatment agent with a second treatment agent comprising resorcin, formalin and latex. The urethane prepolymer may be an aromatic polyisocyanate (for example, bis(isocyanatephenyl) Calkane or the like) modified with a polyether polyol (for example, a poly Calkylene glycol or the like). |
