<p>The invention relates to a double plush fabric (1) with an upper fabric (2) and lower fabric (3) which consist of warp yarns (4, 5) and weft yarns (6, 7), and with pile yarns (9) which are tied in a pile weave and which connect the upper fabric (2) and lower fabric (3). To produce a double plush fabric (1) of high strength and stiffness, the warp yarns (4, 5) and weft yarns (6, 7) are respectively crossed by means of a foundation weave having floating warp yarns, and additional covering wefts (10) are essentially stretched externally on the upper fabric (2) and/or lower fabric (3) and tied off in a floating manner by the warp yarns (4, 5), adjacent covering wefts (10) being tied off by different warp yarns (4, 5) of the respective upper fabric (2) and lower fabric (3). …<IMAGE>… </p> |
