Injection valve for diesel engines

An injection system for diesel engines has devices for separate pilot and main injections via an injection valve. This valve is acted upon by a hydraulic pressure associated with the supply of fuel by separate injection pumps. Arranged obliquely within a nozzle body of the injection valve is a nozzle needle in a bore and adjacent injection passages for the pilot and main injection, in each case at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle body. The injection passages open into an annular space in the bore close to an injection nozzle. A hydraulic delivery passage connected in the nozzle holder to this bore is connected to a feed pump, a non-return valve being held in each of the bores in the nozzle holder connected to the injection passages.
