When moving containers a bellows (5,9) is placed against the container (21). It is connected to an underpressure source so that the container is sucked against the bellows and lifted through contraction of the bellows under the vacuum. The container (21) is moved by the bellows to the required position (25) where the vacuum is then discontinued. The bellows can be hung in movable manner from a transport device (1,3). USE/ADVANTAGE - The device for moving containers can be operated by a single operator.
