PURPOSE:To obtain the entitled photosensitive material good in developability and forming a high density image, by forming a photosensitive element contg. a specified compd. on a support. CONSTITUTION:(A) One mol of an organic silver salt, such as benzotriazole silver, (B) 0.001-0.3mol of a photosensitive silver salt and/or a photosensitive silver salt forming component, such as K2PtCl5, (C) a binder by 0.5-10g per g of the silver salt, such as gelatin, and (E) a compd. having the shown formula in which R<1>, R<2> are each H, OH, hydroxymethyl, or hydroxyethyl, and n is 0-7 by 0.1-5g per g of the component D are dissolved or dispersed in water to obtain a coating liquid. The support is coated with this liquid and dried to form a 1-1,000mum thick photosensitive element layer. The thermodevelopable photosensitive material thus obtained need not to used mercuric salt as a thermal fog inhibitor. |
