The present invention provides a turret type automatic tool exchanging apparatus, comprising: a turret supported at an arm member to be able to rotate, having a plurality of grips on a circumference and maintaining and supporting tools by the grips; a main shaft housing supporting a main shaft, within which the tools are mounted at a lower end, to be able to rotate and installing a main shaft motor rotating the main shaft at an upper side; a main shaft head coupled to the main shaft housing in one body and provided to be movable up and down in a vertical direction on a support column; and a turret rotating member including a bevel gear installed on one side of a circumferential surface of the main shaft to be linked with the main shaft, a bushing installed at a through hole formed at one side of a side surface of the main shaft housing, a gear shaft provided with a ring gear, inserted into the bushing and capable of being engaged with the bevel gear, at an outer side of one end, a shaft head coupled to the other end of the gear shaft in one body and inserted at a stepped part on an outer side of the through hole, and a universal joint type shaft supported at a front end of the arm member whereas touching the shaft head when the main housing is lifted to forcefully move the gear shaft and to engage the bevel gear with the ring gear. |
