<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a parasitic capacity and to eliminate a crosstalk and to realize a large-screen, high-definition liquid crystal panel by providing filler which has a specific dielectric constant at specific positions of the four side parts of a picture element electrode. CONSTITUTION:The filler 1 made of a material which has a lower dielectric constant than liquid crystal 5 is provided on the four side parts of each picture element electrode 2 except an area part including a scanning electrode 9 and a switching element 8 and a specific part of the boundary part with an adjacent picture element electrode 2. The dielectric constant of the liquid crystal 5 is normally >=10 and high, but the filler 11 of epoxy resin, etc., whose dielectric constant is 3 is provided. Consequently, the parasitic capacity between the picture element electrode 2 and scanning electrode 9 on a lower plate 1, the parasitic capacity between the picture element electrode 2 and adjacent picture element electrode 2, etc., are reduced to nearly 10% of conventional values, and the crosstalk is reduced. There is neither deterioration in contrast nor an irregularity in liquid crystal gap.</p> |
