PURPOSE:To specify a discharging place on a discharge electrode and to uniformly electrify and destaticize a charged body at a low applied voltage by providing ruggedness on a dielectric surface and changing electric field strength in the longitudinal direction of the discharge electrode. CONSTITUTION:The discharging device is constituted of the discharge electrode 1, an energizing electrode 2, a dielectric 3, a dielectric substrate 4, an AC voltage applying device 5 and a bias impressing device 6. The surface of the dielectric 3 is provided with ruggedness and a power line is concentrated on the corner of the ruggedness of the dielectric 3 so as to strengthen the electric field on the surface of the discharge electrode 1 in the vicinity of the corner. Consequently, the discharge place is fixed and the uniform electrification and destaticization can be obtained. |
