The fluid coupling has a housing supported by a drive-shaft and to which a cover (6) is fixed. A plate fixed to the. cover (6) is divided into an accumulator part and operating part in which is a rotor. A valve plate opens or closes an opening in the plate. A pin (12) supported by the cover is fixed tothe valve plate and has a bimetal (13) on the inner end of the pin (12) and outer end (19) of the cover. Between the cover and the bimetal (13) is an absorber consisting of a rubbe and support (21) fixed to the cover.
