Submerged pump

A submerged pump (submersible pump) has, on an appliance frame (2), an eccentric screw pump (6) which is immersed in the liquid, is driven from above (11-15) and discharges through a line (8) connected at the bottom. The outer part (9) of the eccentric screw pump (6) is the driven part and is closed at the top. The inner part (5) is upright and hollow. The line (8) adjoins the inner part (5). The eccentric screw pump (6) thus draws in at the bottom, forces upwards and discharges through the hollow inner part (5). It is thus possible for the liquid level to be lowered as far as the bottom end of the eccentric screw pump (6). The entire drive (11-15) can remain outside the liquid. <IMAGE>
