The invention relates to a metering reservoir (1) for receiving and dispensing a laundry-treatment liquid in a washing machine or the like, with a filling orifice (9) and with at least one orifice (14) coinciding, if appropriate, with the filling orifice (9) and serving for dispensing the laundry-treatment liquid. In order to design such a metering reservoir in a simple and functionally reliable manner in such a way that, in respect of a temperature-dependent release of the laundry-treatment liquid, there is no need for an extraneous medium, but the moment of release is nevertheless provided reliably according to the particular programme, the invention proposes to arrange a slide valve (SV) which can be moved into its opening position as a result of overpressure in the metering reservoir (1). <IMAGE>
