The invention relates to a device (1) for ventilating and venting, in particular, the foundation or substructure of a structure which has its foundation in the ground (5) or similar underlying surface. According to the invention, the device (1) is configured as a supporting means which forms a ventilation cavity or duct (6) between the foundation (2) or substructure and the surrounding ground (5) or the like, the supporting means exhibiting at least one ventilation opening. A particularly advantageous further development, according to the invention provides that the device essentially comprises at least one segment (11) of a pipe which is divided in the longitudinal direction and forms the ventilation cavity (6) between the foundation (2) or substructure and the surrounding ground (5). By means of the device (1) according to the invention, in particular the foundation (2) of a structure (3) can be sufficiently ventilated and vented in order to protect the structure, in this area, from excessive moisture.
