Separator for stacked textile patterns - has stack stretched over curved support, with layers loosened and separated for subsequent processing

The stack of cut textile shapes (1) is dropped over a curved surface (7) and clamped at near end by one clamp (15). A second clamp moves around the stack and pulls it flat over the surface, leaving the other end of the stack with staggered edges. The stack is then located to enable each layer to be removed by remote handling. The staggered edge is similarly treated by clamping and pulling device driven by an electromotor (33). The final separation of the layers is under airblast. The handling of the stack loosens the textile grip betwen the layers. The machine operation is controlled electronically (44). USE/ADVANTAGE - For clothing mfr. enables automatic handling, relieve manual separation of otherwise stuck layers.
