Measured value acquisition on a Brinell hardness testing machine with the aid of a video camera and a computer

With the aid of a video camera, a digitiser, a computer and the necessary connections, the measured value, of spherical impression diameter, on a Brinell hardness testing machine can be automatically acquired with a sufficient accuracy by the use of suitable methods which are realised in software, although the contours are not sharp-edged.
