Disclosed are a method and device for intelligently backing up and recovering network element data in a network management system, the method comprising: determining a backup network element to be backed up according to a specifically changed network element; transmitting a backup request to a network management server, such that the network management server according to the backup request backs up network element data of the network element to be backed up, the backup request carrying network element information of the network element to be backed up; and recovering the network element according to the network element data of the backed-up network element. The present invention dynamically selects the network element to be backed up, such that the network management server backs up the network element according to the network element information of the selected network element to be backed up, and recovers the corresponding network element to be backed up, thus effectively addressing the problems of a large data volume and significant time consumption in backing up and recovering a network element in the prior art. |
