PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater enabling reduction in standby electric power by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A water heater 1 includes: a power source 2 for supplying electric power; voltage switching means 4 for switching between low voltage and steady voltage for output on the basis of the electric power supplied from the power source; power source shutoff means 8 for outputting or shutting off the electric power supplied from the power source; a hot water supply control load 6 operated by the electric power supplied from the power source shutoff means; a flow sensor 5 for sensing a flow rate; and a control circuit 3 for controlling the power source switching means, the power source shutoff means and the hot water supply control means by receiving a signal from the flow sensor. The control circuit supplies low voltage to a wired remote controller 9 and supplies electric power to the hot water supply control load when the flow sensor detects a flow rate, and supplies low voltage to the wired remote controller and does not supply electric power to the hot water supply control load when the flow sensor does not detect a flow rate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
