In order to ensure a diversity of stable opening positions of the visor or windscreen of a safety helmet for motorcyclists and the like, the visor has, at its sides, tabs with discoidal terminations coupled in a rotary manner on washers correspondingly provided on the inside of the helmet; in which the discoidal terminations and washers mentioned above have studs and countersunk pieces operationally facing one another for interlocking thereof, which is strengthened by means of a rotary screw and helical spring. In a preferred embodiment, the wall of the helmet has a cavity in which is housed, totally or partially, a corresponding visor portion. In addition, provision is made for a device for adjusting the helmet's chin strap, consisting of a groove made in the lower part thereof, with the result that the strap of said chin strap [lacuna], there being provided in said groove/guide elements for fastening or retaining the sliding piece. <IMAGE>
