摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceiving member which prevents the generation of an interference fringe and has photosensitivity to light by incorporating at least one kind selected from oxygen atoms, carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms in the distribution state ununiform in the layer thickness direction into a layer of which at least part of the layer region has photosensitivity. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the atoms selected from the oxygen atoms, carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms are incorporated in the distribution state ununiform in the layer thickness direction into the layer of which at least part of the layer region has the photosensitivity. Such atoms to be incorporated into the layer of which at least part of the layer region has the photosensitivity may be incorporated into the entire layer region of the layer of which at least part of the layer region has the photosensitivity or may be unevenly incorporated therein by incorporating the same only into part of the layer of the photosensitive layer. The distribution condition of the atoms is preferably such that the distribution concn. C is uniform in the plane parallel with the surface of the substrate of the photoreceiving layer. The quantity of the atoms (OCN) to be incorporated into the layer region (OCN) is adequately determined as desired according to the characteristic required for the photoconductive member to be formed and is preferably 0.001-50atomic%.
