PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in continuous recording properties, not generating the adhesion of refuse and having high sensitivity by using pigment as a nucleus (mother particle) while using a color former, a coupler and a sensitizer as daughter particles to impart mechanical and thermal energies based on impact force to all of particles in a high speed air stream and fixing said particles or forming a film. CONSTITUTION:A color forming layer containing a color former A, a coupler B, a sensitizer C and pigment D is provided and consists of at least one kind of A-C each having a wt. average particle size of 0.01-2mum and D having a weight average particles size of 0.1-10mum and the particle size ratio of each of A-C and D is 1/5 or less. At least one kind of A-C and D are uniformly mixed in a solid phase to adhere at least one kind of A-C to the surface of D. Next, by applying mechanical and thermal energies based on impact force to the particles in a high speed air stream, pigment wherein at least one kind of A-C is fixed to the surface of D or formed into a film on the surface of D is contained in the color forming layer. |
