Process for crosslinking polysilazanes, characterised in that it consists in bringing the said polysilazanes in contact with an effective quantity of at least one compound chosen from (i) the compounds of formula <IMAGE> and (ii) the compounds containing at least two functional groups of formula, <IMAGE> in which formulae X denotes a halogen, preferably chlorine. The polysilazanes crosslinked in this way can then be used for the preparation of ceramic products based on SiC and/or Si3N4.
