PURPOSE:To obtain a suppressing agent of enzyme formation containing specific organic acids and unsaturated fatty acids as active ingredients and capable of suppressing formation of tyrosinase, exhibiting melanin formation suppressing effect and attaining fair-skinning effect. CONSTITUTION:The suppressing agent of enzyme formation containing (A) organic acids selected from acetic acids, lactic acids and pyruvic acids and (B) unsaturated fatty acids, preferably 12-22C unsaturated fatty acids (e.g. lauroleic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidonic acid or eicosatetraenoic acid) as active ingredients and free from substantially inhibiting activity of an enzyme while having excellent tyrosinase formation suppressing action in a living cell. The components A and B are metabolism related substances and extremely high in safety and further have high stability to heat and pH and are also capable of readily carrying out heat sterilization and long-term storage and can be advantageously utilized for treatment and prevention of local pigmentation disorder such as stain, ephelis or sun-burn and systemic pigmentation disorder such as Addison's disease. |
