<p>PURPOSE:To make delay smaller in the signal transmission through word wires and bit wires by arranging memory cells three-dimensionally, using a semiconductor laminated construction and contriving to take out many bit wires by means of short word wires. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor layer is formed by laminating a plurality of layers with an insulation layer between them, and at each layer memory cell arrays Mi and Mj are formed. If one layer is taken from them, its constitution can be the same as conventional flat memories. A plurality of work wires Wi that are driven by the output of an address decoder are divided by the same number of the plurality, and a branch wire Wij that belongs to one word wire is wired in a plane. Branch wire planes in the number of the word wires are formed parallel to each other. The bit wire Bjk is laid perpendicularly to those branch wire planes.</p> |
