<p>This indirect mounting system using rear fork suspension links for a motorcycle, replaces the conventional fork link design with mounting on an articulated axle on the frame, connecting the fork with the linkage, thereby causing the rear end of the fork, where the axle of the rear wheel is, to move in a predetermined arc, upon charging the suspension, causing the desired movement, with the centre being the secondary gearbox axle. Distance between the two gear and belt bearing axles is thereby kept stable for transmission through a flexible belt, thereby isolating unwanted interference of suspension loads to the smooth operation of the engine.</p> |
