PURPOSE:To produce a long rubber hose at a low cost, by molding a vulcanized rubber hose with a base end of it remained unvulcanized, and molding a next unvulcanized rubber hose with the end of it overlapped with the base end. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber sheet is wound around a cantilevered mandrel having cooling means at the base end, a polyester tape is wound thereon, and it is heated and vulcanized to mold the first vulcanized hose. In this case, since the base end is cooled, the particular part would not be vulcanized. Then this resulting hose is withdrawn from the mandrel with the unvulcanized part being remained at the forward end of the mandrel, and the next unvulcanized rubber sheet is wound on the unvulcanized part, and is vulcanized. Again, the cooled base end is not unvulcanized. This procedure is repeated to produce a vulcanized hose with a prescribed length. |
