Culture tank for culturing cells, organs, or tissue strips of a plant has a cutting device for cutting cultured plant bodies within the tank, with an arrangement for causing relative movement between the plant bodies and the cutting device. Culturing apparatus used to obtain new cultured strips from cultured plant bodies for propagation of e.g. Lilium longiflorum Thunb, Lilium speciosum Thunb, gladiolus, iris, chrysanthemum, carnation, etc. Allows cultured stirps to be obtd. from cultured plant bodies aseptically without taking the platn bodies out of the culture tank.
