PURPOSE:To obtain the deodorizing device which does not leak ozonized air of the extent of harming the human body to the outside of the device even in the case of generation of a fault in a fan and has high safety by using a backflow preventive weir formed on the upstream side of an ozone generator. CONSTITUTION:The backflow preventive weir 40 is formed from above to below in a blast passage 32 on the upstream side of the ozone generator 35 and the easy back flow of the ozonized air to a suction port 33 is prevented by the backflow resistance thereof in the event of the operation failure of a fan 37 by generation of a fault, such as locking of a fan 38 by foreign matter, etc., or the disconnection of the winding of a motor 39. The ozonized air stagnating in an ozone reaction part 41, therefore, flows gradually toward a discharge pot 34 in a normal route while this air is decomposed by the natural convection via an ozone decomposing catalyst 36. The quantity of the ozonized air which leaks into a refrigerating chamber 10 by blowing backward to the suction port 33 is eventually saturated and balanced while the quantity thereof is suppressed to a small quantity. The suppression of the concn. of the ozone leaking into a refrigerating chamber 10 to <=0.05ppm is sufficiently possible and there is no danger of oxidizing the food in the chamber 10 or harming the user's body. The deodorizing device which is safe even in the event of the generation of the fault in the fan 37 is provided in this way. |
