PURPOSE:To attempt compaction of a whole device by arranging a differential mechanism, as a center def, in the neighborhood of a front def between the front def and gears for driving rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:A center def 6 having a differential mechanism A is arranged between a front def 7 and gears 12 for driving fear wheels and the differential mechanism A is arranged with being wrapped by the front def 7. That is, the differential mechanism A is arranged at the casing 24 of the center def 6, and its first gear row G1 is wrapped by the def case 46 of the front def 7. By this constitution, the whole device can be made compact, and as the first gear row G1 of the differential mechanism A is arranged on the front def 7 side and the second gear row G2 is arranged on the side of gears 12 for driving rear wheels, the center def 6 can be assembled in a unit in advance. Therefore, compaction of the whole device can be attempted and assembly is facilitated.
