PURPOSE:To enable a plurality of self-propelling carriers to be moved while keeping their vehicular distances nearly constant without juxtaposing a duplex trolley conveyor by providing both a vehicular distance detecting means and a control means for controlling the carrier speed so that the detected vehicular distance is within a prescribed range, to each crawling carrier. CONSTITUTION:At an appropriate place of a self-propelling carrier 3, a phototransmission device 53 connected to a controller 19 is provided. The phototransmission device 53 receives the central value of working speeds being output from a control panel 44, and inputs it into the controller 19. The controller 19 is also connected to a traveling motor 28, a preceding carrier detector 32, and a vehicular distance detector 36, and controls the traveling motor 28 on the basis of the central value of working speeds received by the phototransmission device 53, and the outputs of both the preceding carrier detector 32 and the vehicular distance detector 36. Thus, the traveling speed of the carrier 3 can be controlled so that the vehicular distance between the carriers 3 is within a prescribed range. |
