PURPOSE:To accurately discriminate the direction of rotation by discriminating the rotating direction of a motor with a rotating direction discriminator, and a controller (CPU) for discriminating the rotating direction according to the output states of the rotating direction discriminator and a commutation sensor. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 3 discriminates the rotating direction of a motor 5 according to information from a commutation sensor 6, then discriminates the rotating direction of the motor 5 according to information from a rotating direction discriminator 2, then compares the rotating directions of the motor 5 obtained from both, and judges whether both coincide or not. If both the rotating directions coincide, the rotating direction is discriminated, output, and sent to a driving circuit 4. If the rotating directions do not coincide, it is repeated from the operation of checking the information from the commuta tion sensor 6. Thus, the rotating direction of the motor 5 can be accurately determined. |
