PURPOSE:To simplify a production process, reduce a manhour, and improve a reliability by a method wherein a top plate provided with flow path forming grooves and integrally formed with an orifice board is bonded with a heater board by a pressing member. CONSTITUTION:In a heater board 100, a discharge heater 103 and a wiring 106 of Al or the like for supplying an electric power to the discharge heater 103 are formed on an Si substrate 101 by a film-forming technique. A top plate 400 provided with a bulkhead for isolating ink flow paths 411, 422 from each other, a common liquid chamber 430, and the like is made of a resin material integrally with an orifice plate pat 404 having orifices 421, 422. For example, the heater board 100 and the top plate 400 are engaged with each other in the condition that the both are clamped between a metal substrate 300 and a presser bar spring 500, and contact bonded with each other by the pressing force of the presser bar spring 500. In this construction, the need for positioning the orifice plate at the time of bonding is eliminated, and the clogging of the flow paths caused by an adhesive application is prevented. A bonding surface between the heater board and the roof board can be sealed with a necessary minimum amount of sealant, and the both can be easily positioned. |
