The present invention relates to a short arc flash lamp with both sealed ends, which is formed by having a pair of main electrodes and a pair of starting auxiliary electrodes inside a light emitting tube, inserting a sealing glass tube into a sealing tube provided to one end of the light emitting tube and welding the sealing glass tube. According to the present invention provides a structure in which mixed gas is effectively adsorbed inside the light emitting tube by a getter, the evaporated getter is prevented from being attached onto the inner surface of the light emitting tube, and abnormal discharging is prevented from being generated between a getter receiving container and an internal lead of the starting auxiliary electrode extending into the light emitting tube. A getter container is fixed to a core wire of a main electrode in a first sealing tube, and the getter container is a ring shaped member having an opened ring shaped concave portion one end side of which is opened, and the ring shaped concave portion contains metal, which is an evaporation type getter material. The opened portion is disposed to face the sealed end side of the first sealing tube, and a metal thin film is deposited by the evaporation type getter material on the inner surface of the first sealing tube. |
