PURPOSE:To observe or pick up image of the surface condition of an object to be lighted with accuracy by arranging the object in an cylindrical container whose inner surface is an irregularly reflecting surface, and by lighting the object by the irregularly reflected light or by the diffuse reflected light. CONSTITUTION:An inner surface of a cylindrical container 1 is so formed as the light that is radiated from a light source 2 and passes through an opening 6 is reflected irregularly. In the cylindrical container 1, for example, a columnar object 3 is arranged being supported by a support means 5. As the light source 2 is arranged outside the cylindrical container 1, only light that is radiated in a certain direction from the light source passes through the opening 6 to enter the cylindrical container 1, and being reflected at least force, finally is irradiated on the object. The surface of a solid that has a rough main surface, especially of the columnar object 3 can be lighted homogeneously not generating a shadowy part. Visual observation and inspection of appearance of the object 3 for whom an inspection device that processes a proto-picture by picking up image of the object 3 is used can be facilitated, and abnormality inspection efficiency is thus improved. |
