<p>PURPOSE:To permit certain and easy detection of defective insulators all the time by computing the ratio of shared voltage of insulators to be measured to that of insulators adjacent thereto to judge defective insulators when the ratio of the shared voltage is less than an allowable value. CONSTITUTION:Good insulators has a property of shared voltage constant shown in the Fig. in terms of suspension insulators without arcing hone, however the insulators mixed with defective insulators has shared voltage lowered to make the shared voltage of the defective insulators smaller than that of the good insulators adjacent thereto, accordingly. So, the ratio of shared voltage of insulators to be measured to that of insulators adjacent thereto is computed to judge defective insulators when the ratio of the shared voltage is less than an allowable value. It is thus possible to detect defective insulators which are lowered to 100MOMEGA or less in insulation resistance, occupying 90% or more in total of defective insulators. As a result, if standard shared voltage property is not memorized for every measured insulator, defective insulators can be detected surely and easily with an unchangeable criterion all the time.</p> |
