PURPOSE:To perform more accurate optical scanning and to obtai a picture output with high quality, by detecting a scanning light having constant intensity with an optical sensor, in an optical scanner making optical modulation in synchronism at each unit scanning. CONSTITUTION:Since an optical intensity control means which makes the intensity of a scanning light scanning a phtodetecting means different from that scanning a medium, is provided, a driving signal outputted from a synchronizing signal generating section 22 is used as a drive current for a laser light source 1 and the scanning light irradiated from the light source with this drive current is irradiated to a photodetection region where a mirror is provided. Since the drive signal from the section 22 has a larger level than that of the drive signal from a shift register 21, the scanning light detected at a photo diode of the section 22 becomes a light having sufficient intensity to obtain a photo-detection pulse fot the optical modulation in synchronism with good accuracy. |
