A process for the production of oriented electrical steel sheet includes the stages of subjecting the cold rolled sheet to a decarburisation annealing treatment and of coating the decarburised sheet with MgO-based annealing separator, which is composed in range of 0.5-15g Ti(SO4)2 to 100g MgO, after hot rolling and cold rolling the steel which comprises (by wt.) 2.8-3.5% Si, 0.020-0.060% C, 0.040-0.120% Mn, 0.010-0.035% S, 0.002-0.020% N, 0.010-0.05% Al, 0.09-0.150% Cu and the balance Fe. The oriented electrical steel sheet has a high magnetic flux density.
