Device for spreading out a large number of small flat objects (cards), such as playing cards, transparencies, microscope slides, etc. The invention relates to a device which rapidly spreads out a large number of cards and enables them to be gathered up rapidly. By reducing the handling operations, it limits fingerprints. It makes it possible to pick up a card easily. It consists of a surface 1 for spreading out, equipped with stops 3 and with a distributor 2 equipped with a one-by-one scraper 4 sweeping the deposited cards and preventing the simultaneous depositing of two cards. The cards are gathered up with the distributor, in the opposite direction from spreading-out, or with two fingers, rapid stacking being possible since one card always rests on a stop or on the preceding card, via one of its edges. The device according to the invention is intended particularly for spreading out and rapidly gathering up several cards. <IMAGE>
