<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a film, excellent in mechanical properties and heat resistance and suitable as flexible printed circuits or magnetic recording tapes, by blending a PCHDMT-based polyester with a PEN-based polyester in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially oriented film consisting of a mixed polyester or block copolyester consisting of (A) 30-90wt.% poly-1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate(PCHDMT) or a polyester consisting essentially thereof and (B) 70-10wt.% polyethylene-2,6-naphthalene(PEN) or a polyester consisting essentially thereof. The mixed polyester or block copolyester has >=0.4, preferably >=0.5 intrinsic viscosity in a mixed solvent of phenol/tetrachloroethane at 1:1 weight ratio at 25 deg.C.</p> |
