PURPOSE:To make spot welding sure without oxidation by juxtaposing a pair of horizontal arm rods to a machine frame, providing a laser light condensing lens and a lower tip to one of these rods and a cylinder device to the other, and pressing an upper tip to objects to be welded. CONSTITUTION:Two sheets of objects 7 to be welded are placed on a lower tip 8, and cooling fluid is transferred to a blast pipe 11; at the same time an inert gas is supplied through a supply port 15 to the cabin on the object side. Thereafter, the inert gas is discharged through a discharge port to prevent the oxidation of weld zones. A cylinder device 17 is driven to move downward an upper tip 18 provided to an output shaft 17a, thereby pressing and fixing the objects 7. Cooling fluid is injected through an inflow port 19 to the inside of the tip 18 to cool the tip 18, and is then discharged through an outflow port. If a laser device 3 is driven here, a laser passes through a condenser lens 6 and forms a focus O at the objects 7, thereby spot welding is performed on the objects. |
