METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CLOSING FLEXIBLE TUBE AFTER FILLING

PURPOSE: To prevent a seal from being deteriorated by the content and obtain a very low vacuum by filling a tube at the lower end of its skirt with a creamy or semi-pasty liquid product, holding the end portion at the standing position and nipping the skirt below its open end at the lower side. CONSTITUTION: An edge 3 at the lower end 4 of a skirt 2 of a tube 1 is located at the standing position and equipped with a distribution means without returning of air. The tube 1 with a vertical axis 6 has been supported at a prescribed position of its shoulder, filled with a creamy product 7 that is relatively fluidic and the upper level 8 of the cream 7 is at the position of 15 mm from the lower edge 3 of the skirt 2. The apparatus contains two nippers 9 for the skirt edge 4 and the height of a rectangular to nip the surface 10 is located between 5 to 7 mm from the lower end of the edge 3 of the skirt 2. These nippers 9 have an entry face 11 that inclines 30 deg. with respect to a vertical line and forms a V shape of 60 deg. upon nipping. The apparatus also contains circular cylindrical rollers 12 and 13 that make it possible to transversely compress the tube 1 at its part 7 where cream is filled therein.
