<p>PURPOSE:To improve trimming efficiency and control change in resistance by forming a first green glass layer covering the surface of a resistor and then forming a second grass layer covering the first glass layer and the trimming trace. CONSTITUTION:A pair of primary electrodes 4 and 6 are formed at the opposing edges on the surface of a substrate 2, a resistor 8 is calcined on the surface of the substrate 2 between the primary electrodes 4 and 6, a first glass layer 10 covering the resistor 8 is printed, and then calcination treatment is performed for forming a chip resistor. This glass layer 10 is formed by boron glass, etc., and absorbs laser fully, thus being set to a semi-transparent green color, etc. Then, laser trimming is performed to the resistor 8 from the upper part of the glass layer 10 for setting resistance to a specified value and a second glass layer 14 is formed by printing and calcination treatment as a protection film covering the glass laver 10 and the resistor 8 entirely. Thus, the absorption degree coefficient of laser becomes larger, thus improving trimming efficiency, allowing the first glass to operate as heat shielding for the resistor, and controlling change in resistance.</p> |
