<p>PURPOSE:To prevent dust from being stuck on a magnetic tape surface, and to prevent the deterioration of a regenerative signal and the damage of a head by providing cleaners in magnetic tape running paths on the both sides of the magnetic head so as to pinch it. CONSTITUTION:Cleaners 2 to eliminate the dust on the surface of the magnetic tape and static electricity is provided in the magnetic tape running paths on the both sides of a magnetic head 1 so as to pinch it, and the magnetic head 1, the cleaners 2, and the ground of a head bearing base sub-assy 6 are composed so as to be an integral construction. Further by dropping the cleaners 2 on the same ground as the magnetic head 1 and the head bearing base sub- assy 6 together with them, the electrified charge of the magnetic tape can be eliminated. Thus information can be recorded/reproduced on the magnetic tape, where dust hardly exists on a clean surface, in a state having no static electricity, the reliability of recording/reproducing can be improved, and the damage of the magnetic head 1 can be prevented.</p> |
