<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the color filters having excellent flatness by thermocompression bonding a transparent substrate and a resin formed in the form of a film on the colored layers formed on the transparent substrate consisting of the red, green and red colored layers in a reduce pressure atmosphere, thereby forming an overcoat layer. CONSTITUTION:The colored layers 202 are formed on the transparent substrate 201 and the overcoat film 203 of an acrylic system formed in the form of film having 10mum thickness is superposed on this layer 202 and is inserted and fixed between upper and lower pressurizing plates 102, 103 of a press welding device 101. Iron plates having excellent flatness are used for the pressurizing plates 102, 103 and particularly the upper pressurizing plate 102 in contact with the overcoat film 203 is coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and is further finished by a specular treatment in order to prevent the tight adhesion of the overcoat film 203 to the pressurizing plate 102 and the failure thereof in peeling when the overcoat film 203 and the colored layers 202 are thermocompression bonded. The entire part of this device is reduced down to 10<-3>Torr in a vacuum vessel to tightly adhere the colored layers 202 and the overcoat film 203 without the air at the boundary.</p> |
