<p>PURPOSE:To regenerate the hydrogen chloride absorbent by mechanically stirring the hydrogen chloride absorbent in the presence of a small amount of water to release and remove the calcium chloride layer on the surface thereof formed by absorbing hydrogen chloride. CONSTITUTION:In regenerating lime stone used in removing hydrogen chloride according to a semi-dry type moving layer method, the lime stone 21 is sent to a mixer 3 and water withdrawn from a water line is added to said mixer to carry out mechanical stirring. By this method, the calcium chloride layer of the hydrogen chloride absorbed surface thereof can be released, removed and regenerated. By the above described simple method, the absorbent is regenerated without using a water treating installation.</p> |
