The ground clearance is increased by moving the lower parts of a conventional suspension to above the wheel axis. This is achieved by specially shaped wheel supports. One of the supports can be mounted directly to a damper unit (25). For driven wheels the drive shaft (21) is angled upwards towards the centre of the vehicle while the suspension frame (26) is linked to the wheel mounting above the axis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Vehicle suspension gives stable support, high ground clearance, no protruding elements to generate turbulence in air flow with resulting drag.
