The soap holder comprises a holder with an annular socket with a longitudinal groove in the wall, and a soap dish which has a base which engages in the annular socket and projection which engages in the longitudinal groove. A clamping insert (3) is provided between the longitudinal groove and the projection. Hollow recesses can be provided at the transistion of the projection into the foot of the soap dish on either side. USE/ADVANTAGE - Any play and rattling between the groove of the holder and the projection at the bottom of the soap dish is thereby avoided.
