Actuating drive with a tubular-ring-shaped rolling diaphragm between a working plate, carrying the actuating rod and fastened by the rolling diaphragm, and the inner wall of the housing. The actuating drive is formed with working chambers facing one another, so that it can be controlled in a bidirectional, linear manner by a working fluid under vacuum or positive pressure without a dual pressure source being required. By a pressure compensation preset in its extent between the working chambers and the annular inner space of the tubular rolling diaphragm, the service life of the longitudinal rolling diaphragm of two-piece design can be prolonged.
